In Bootstrap 5 jQuery is not required
They changed to “vanilla js”
Your error says that the element (ex .. from
GetElementBID ) you’re trying to manipulate
Doeesn’t exist that’s why it return NULL
Try include js file at the end of the body tag
and also check element ID in id=”…”

It sounds like you are using jQuery but then also the vanilla JavaScript code. These two things don’t belong together, so something is not right with your setup. If you can elaborate what you have done, I can try to point you in the right direction.

If you can make it work using on JavaScript, I would recommend you stick with that because Bootstrap will get rid of jQuery in the next version.

Amazing..!
This tutorial really saved my life, but I’m still left with one unsolved problem, the modal didn’t work for me.

I’m using jquery-3.6.0.min.js
And bootstrap-4.3.1 version

I think it has something to do with jQuery not working, only Plain JavaScript seems to be working here because I made the image to fill the page using plain JavaScript

Please help!
Thanks so much, great work…

Hey Grace, Bootstrap does not have a database. It is not a content management system but a front-end framework. That means it doesn’t pull in content from the database but the content is right there in the page files. If you want to use a database, I suggest you look into WordPress or Joomla.

But please, I have created my form usint the Bootstrap and I have created my database using the XAMP, but I simply need some assistance on connecting to the database. Do I have to change my file type from “.html” to “.php” before it can run.

I appreciate your timely response.

Yes, my page will always try to do the right thing. However, in this case you are right that I meant responsive. Thanks for pointing that out, I corrected it.

But I think you meant “responsive” ^_-

In under an hour you totally cured my fear of Bootstrap — thanks to clear writing and sticking to the essentials. My one suggestion/remark is that the screenshots look pretty empty on my Kindle Fire in portrait mode. Maybe an S/M/L gallery at each stage?

You can not upload Bootstrap templates to WordPress directly, no. However, there are a number of themes built on Bootstrap that you can use. They are very easy to find with a Google search or in the WordPress directory.
