If it’s only a problem in WP Bakery and not your site, this sounds more like a question for the plugin support team.

In the last few days on my site that had no issues suddenly stopped displaying custom font on WP Bakery!

Any suggestion would be most welcome

I checked to make sure the fonts are in the fonts folder and both style.css and function.php are set up correctly.

Hey Jen, sure thing. You can easily hire a developer to implement this for you.

Is there an easy way to have this done for me? I have purchased the font I want added…

Hey Noni, the code belongs into the functions.php file in the folder of your active theme. You can find it inside wp-content > themes. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. I have corrected it in the post above.

Hey Colleen, I haven’t looked into how to change fonts in the block editor.

However, you are raising an important topic. I have put it down for a post update. Thanks for pointing it out!

It’s the best one I’ve seen and so helpful! I tried to do it the WP Way, but after inserting the code into functions.php and relaunching the website, nothing is any different. I don’t see any way to apply my included font. Maybe I put it in the wrong PHP file? I used the one in the wp-includes directory, at the same level as the other functions. This is my first site, so I really have no idea what I should see, but I don’t see a way to apply the font. Thank you!

Hey Therese, yes, you can still use the tips above for using non-google fonts.

Note that it would be advisable to set up a child theme though, if you are going to make changes to your files.

Hey Arnold, the code goes into your theme’s style sheet, usually called style.css.

However, the best solution is to use it in a child theme. That way, you won’t lose your changes to an update of your main theme. More that here: https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/

Can I still use these tips to upload a non-google font? The font I am trying to use is “trueno.”

Thank you

Hey Jeffrey, sorry to hear it’s not working everywhere. Do you have more specifics as to what is the problem?

I’m dumb and don’t really understand… I wanted a specific font Ballpark Weiner. I have it downloaded. Converted it with Font Squirrel and now have ttf, woff, woff2 and a css file. I am using an OceanWP theme. I have pasted the files (except the css) into the theme directory. But where do I paste/add the css lines of code? Thanks a lot

Hey JJ, with Google Fonts the browser will load the font remotely. So, even if a visitor doesn’t have it, it will display correctly. Thanks for the comment!
